One of the benefits of Acupuncture is to help relieve acute and chronic pain caused by different conditions, such as:
- sciatica
- lower back pain
- shoulder pain
- stiff neck
- headaches
- migraines
- TMJ
- tennis elbow
- muscle tension and spasms.

Most patients start feeling improvement of painful conditions in the first session, but subsequent sessions may be needed to resolve it. In chronic pain conditions however, cycles of 4 or more sessions of treatment are usually needed, and may be supported by the use of Chinese herbs and other acupuncture modalities, such as cupping or ear seeds. Some cases may require more than one appointment per week, but weekly sessions are commonly used, and with the improvement of the patient's condition, it can be spaced every other week or even once a month or once every few months for general maintenance.

Acupuncture not only can relieve pain, but can also deal with other symptoms and conditions, such as:
- stress
- anxiety or depression
- lack or excess of appetite
- digestive issues (bloating, constipation, diarrhea, and others)
- nausea, vomiting, morning sickness
- heartburn
- insomnia
- sinus congestion
- menstrual problems (irregularity, excess bleeding) and infertility
- trauma
- cravings for smoking or the use of drugs (NADA protocol) - for better results, it is recommended a combination of acupuncture with counseling, medical support and self-help groups.
